Known as the Snow Globe Shaker, Jeff Nischwitz is on a mission to help people shift their leadership impact. Working with clients from different groups, he understands how messages can be interpreted differently when coming from people in positions of power (the majority) to people in a target group (often a minority). Through his work, Jeff has observed the natural defensiveness that can exist when we react and come to understand the many ways we can grow as leaders through awareness and by taking responsibility for our impacts (intended and unintended). This ties directly to the challenge of navigating uncomfortable conversations, specifically the importance of speaking from an “I” perspective versus a “you” perspective.
Jeff will be joining us to share both his observations and personal experiences in making this shift. He hopes that by sharing his own journey into understanding his unconscious biases and beliefs and the very subtle ways they show up, he might offer others an invitation to begin to explore the same for themselves.
