Join us for another conversation with Drew Ahl, founder of Ahl DEI Consulting. His company offers Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) data analytics, inclusivity audits, and self-identity strategies.
In this session, we'll delve into the language of gender. All too often, discussions around underrepresented groups, such as race, gender, disability, and age, can be influenced by assumptions, misconceptions, or media portrayals. There can also be hesitancy to use specific terms, for fear of misusing or misappropriation, which can hinder open conversation.
Understanding the terminology is foundational for facilitating open conversations and furthering LGBTQ+ inclusion. Our goal is to unpack the language, clarify terms and their usage, and explore how gender fluency can minimize miscommunication and ensure productive discussions. We will discuss both definitions and context, providing participants with insights and guidance to articulate conversations about gender with empathy and accuracy. We hope you join the conversation!
